Sessions are £40, and remain the same whether face to face, online or walk & talk.
I am able to offer a small amount of discounted sessions for young people whose family may find cost a barrier to them accessing counselling, and those who are out of work / in receipt of benefits. Please do get in touch to discuss this.
You don't always need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Many people come to counselling to try and unpick something and gain clarity on it, or to change a pattern that they have recognised in their life. Sometimes it can just be about self awareness and keeping the mind healthy, the same as going to the gym, getting a haircut or a massage.
Sessions are recommended weekly, particularly in short term counselling and at the start of any ongoing work. Where possible we will aim for these to take place on the same day and time each week. Sessions are 50 minutes long unless previously discussed. If you think you may struggle to commit to weekly sessions please do let me know and we can come up with a schedule that works for both of us.
Sessions can be in blocks or open-ended, it all comes down to what your needs are. There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions. This is also not something that needs to be decided right away, and we will review our work together regularly.
Please do get in touch via the homepage if there are any questions you may have. Before we begin our work together we will discuss your needs, expectations and anything you would like to achieve by coming to counselling. We will form a counselling contract which includes things like confidentiality and its limitations, as well as my policies and procedures.
If I cannot see you straight away I can recommend other counsellors or place you on my waiting list if you would be happy to wait.
